After purchasing the right size Kit, we start with a Discovery Session – this is a consultation designed to uncover the vision, understand you, what you need. We’ll discuss your priorities and which WILDEN Kit version is right for you, before we get started.

A rough build budget will be agreed, and this will determine the details of your design, such as the materials and type of features we might consider for your garden. 

After this WILDEN gets to work on your Design; first a Draft and then following your approval, the Final Design.

After the design is completed, we will be partnering you with one of our preferred Contractors to get a full quotation for the build and maintenance.

The more information you provide the more accurate we and your Contractor will be. Ideally:

Drawings showing the plot, villa, and garden as it is. Bonus points if you have CAD and PDF files – these are perfect! If not, standard developer plans are a good starting point.

Location pin so we can study the sun and shade.

Photos and panoramas showing the garden from many angles. Make sure to include important features like existing trees, entrances, manholes, windows, key views, and existing structures. If you want to highlight issues now’s a good time… that annoying corner that collects with water or the overlooking view from the neighbours.

A video walkthrough is really helpful – if you’re comfortable then we encourage you to add comments or narrate it with your feelings and ideas for the space.

*If you don’t have the right drawings we can easily arrange a fully measured survey for you at a small additional charge, typically AED 1,500 - 2,000 depending on the size of your garden.

The design process is in 2 stages:

Your Draft Design includes key 3D visuals, a schematic plan, and planting and materials palettes.

Your Final Design package includes updated views, several plans, planting specifications and a lighting layout.

All in, a bloody brilliant landscape customised just for you, and ready to have built.

To some extent. 

Kit Gardens will give you some choice from pre-selected materials, planting, and components. This reduces the normal time required for sourcing, decision making, and coordinating with Contractors. Meaning we keep the design cost low, so you can live a wilder life, without a wild price.

*Please note in this initial launch, the options will be limited as we grow the service and get feedback from more of the community.

Definitely, we will design to meet your budget - The budget should be discussed at the outset because this will be guide of the detailing and materials we use for your garden. WILDEN Kit gardens are ideal for budgets around 30 – 200k AED. Our aim is to design within +/- 15% of what your comfortable spending.

The design takes 4 weeks - that’s 2 weeks for the Draft Design and a further 2 weeks for your Final Design package.

*If we need to arrange a full site survey for you please expect an additional week.

Following completion of your WIDLEN Design, the Contractor typical timeframes are:

2-3 weeks for pricing,

1-2 weeks for you to meet, agree scope and finalise the contract,

1-2 weeks for approvals and NOCs,

4-6 weeks for construction for most gardens. but super simple gardens can be as little as 2 weeks, complex projects over 10 weeks.

Plants will always be growing. Until they’re not growing, and then they’re dead, or maybe just dormant. But until then, sit back and appreciate the process… it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey, dude!

We don’t grow gardens to achieve an undefined end goal of ‘completeness’… a garden is a process and is never finished. If you want a finished garden ask someone else to cover everything in artificial grass.

To bring your design to life WILDEN can help partner you with a suggested Contractor. We only recommend people that value landscape the same way that we do. Your Contractor will be responsible for delivering the complete project to a high quality, and maintaining it too if you choose that option (strongly recommended!). 

WILDEN will visit at key stages during construction - see next question…

For best results, we recommend that WILDEN support the installation. We will be there for key milestones such as; setting out, reviewing changes, checking quality and planting. We call this ‘Design Guardianship’ to ensure the build meets the vision and to assist the Contractor resolve challenges. 

Your Contractor will show the price breakdown for Design Guardianship service so you have all the costs on one page, however you should pay WILDEN directly for this service. It’s typically between 6 - 10% of the construction value.

Yes we do! A well-designed pool needs more planning, budgeting, and technical coordination. Therefore, any project needing a new pool is considered a WILDEN Bespoke Design, not a WILDEN Kit Garden. Gardens with existing pools can be designed with our Kit service.
