‘What’s that big bush growing on the side of the dunes? I want that’.

Is what happens when client’s have their eyes wide open.

‘Well, that you shall have!’

A meadow of biodiversity. Swathes of native grasses and proper native plants. Hefty Acacia trees with delicate flowers.

That they received.

Amongst the grasses - Leptadenia - a fire bush used prolifically in local culture. And desert cotton, prized for it’s soft flowers, made great filling for Bedouin pillows. Stories we enjoyed learning together as the design developed.

So now old stories live on, with new travellers - western migrants living in Dubai. Oh also a gazillion swallows, a handful of reptiles and a desert hedgehog too.

Good god does this stand out in suburbia. What must the neighbours think?
